PROJECT METHODOLOGY OF TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGE TO STUDENTS-ECONOMISTS

Abstract

The article is devoted to the use of project methodology in practical classes in a foreign language in economic higher school. Its advantages are shown in comparison with other methods of development of future economists’ professional and language competencies. The project methodology allows improving the quality of language training and increasing students' interest in their future specialization. The article summarizes practical experience of teachers of the Department of Language Training of Financial University in the use of this methodology for self-education of both students and teachers. The author comes to the conclusion that it is necessary to change the traditional forms of working with students on the basis of the principle of their conscious participation in the educational process.
