Intellectual and informational support of proactive student activity in the implementation of the "Service Learning" approach

Abstract

The aim of the study is to substantiate and develop a system for constructing a socially demanded product that provides intellectual and informational support and evaluation of the proactive activity of students within the implementation of the "Service Learning" approach. The article examines the specific features of implementing the "Service Learning" approach, which focuses on the proactive engagement of students in the process of creating and executing a social project aimed at addressing pressing real-world problems. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that, for the first time, pedagogical tools designed to create conditions for the development of students’ abilities to productively solve relevant social and professional problems in the context of dynamically changing socio-technological factors are constructed based on the universal properties of unary parameterization of the informational space. The primary instrument for the practical realization of intellectual and informational support is a matrix diagram, which ensures an invariant representation of the informational space and records the variants of actualizing unary parameters of the social project, thereby enabling the tracking of the influence of the student’s activity direction on the properties of the created product. This matrix diagram, implementing the principle of proportionality, provides a unified approach to the formation and evaluation of possible actual variants of the structure and content description of the constructed product. A variant of the parametric product design process within the matrix diagram is demonstrated. A system of key indicators and metrics for evaluating the student’s ability to productively solve relevant tasks is defined, which can be effectively used for self-analysis, reflection, and external expert assessment.
