Multimedia and digital technologies in calligraphy training in the context of teaching Chinese as a foreign language to students of non-linguistic universities
Abstract
The research aims to provide an overview of the possibilities and methods of using multimedia and digital technologies in calligraphy training in the context of teaching Chinese as a foreign language to students receiving non-philological education in universities, including Russian ones. The article addresses the following tasks: an optimized model for teaching calligraphy using these technologies is given; the general principles and stages of training within the proposed model are considered; an analysis of the possibilities of using mobile applications for online calligraphy training is carried out. The scientific novelty of the research lies in developing an innovative model for teaching calligraphy in the field of using mobile applications in calligraphy training. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that technology plays a crucial role in recognizing characters and their structure, order, and sequence of strokes, in building associations between the phonetic, semantic, and orthographic components of Chinese characters. Mobile technologies not only allow learners to study Chinese characters but also make this process more personalized, interactive, and communication-oriented. The proposed model for teaching Chinese calligraphy solves the main problem faced by students at the initial stage, allowing them to effectively build connections between the “pronunciation” of the character, including the combination of sounds (initials and finals) and tone, and the meaning, form, and structure of the character. According to the model, students can be engaged not only during classroom activities but also outside the classroom.
